lewildrose: You probably get asked this a lot, but what foundation do you use? It's fab, loving the pale skin! :)

Thanks so much! You may be surprised to know it’s actually a drugstore brand. L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souflee. I use the Light Ivory (the palest I can find in store… I am a ghost) in winter and Classic Ivory (a step darker! Woo!) in summer.
However I don’t recommend it if you have dry skin, or if your skin is prone to acne. Very fortunately I don’t have those problem but I’ve read reviews on the product and that’s the common cause for complaint.
Anyway, hope this helps! Thanks for the question!

Sorry for the delay in updates!

I’ve had a very busy academic life lately (finals are fast approaching). However, I’m performing makeovers on some beautiful volunteers next week (to relieve some pre-finals jitters), so there will be plenty of new looks to behold in the coming weeks!

If you have any suggestions for looks, the look of the blog, or types of posts, please leave them in my ask box and I’ll reply as quickly as I can!

As always, thank you for your support!

I’m really feeling the springtime vibe lately! This look was inspired by all of the pretty flowers I’ve seen lately. :)

Alright, so, after applying foundation and primer and then filling in my eyebrows, I started off by applying a light blue shadow all over my lids (using Urban Decay’s Painkiller shade). Then, in my crease, I applied a bright purple (UD’s Flash shade) and blended the color into the blue. Then, taking my trusty champagne colored shadow, I highlighted my brow and inner corner. I then brushed the purple and blue onto my lower lashline, blending them together in the middle.
After I finished up the shadows, I lined my upper lid with a black liquid liner, making the line thicker as it reached the outer corners. Then, using a black pencil, I lined my lower waterline. I finished everything up with a light pink lipstick and a little lipgloss!
I love this look so much that it puts a little Spring in my step ;)
Hope you enjoy!

Hello all! Hope you had a lovely day! :)

Today’s look is my basic everyday face. Nothing too flashy here. Possibly a bit heavy for most, but as a makeup enthusiast I enjoy spending too much a lot of time with it every morning.

Now for the how-to~!
After prepping my face with foundation, I filled in my brows with a color about two shades lighter than my hair color. I tried to go a little thicker on the brows, as this tends to make the overall look softer and more feminine. For the eyes, I went for a slightly-sparkly champagne  as the base color to brighten up those tired guys. I then accentuated the crease of my eyes with a matte brown and blended it up onto my brow bone until it created a gradient effect fading up.
Then, I added some water to a small eyeliner brush and applied the dark brown shadow as an eyeliner on top. In addition, I tightlined the top of my lids with a dark brown liner. For the bottom, I took a small fluffy brush and blended the dark brown shadow (dry) about 2/3 of the way towards the inner eye, bringing it to meet the champagne color that filled in the remaining 1/3. I applied mascara as usual, and finished off with a plum color lip!

I will be filming a more detailed tutorial for this tomorrow, so be on the lookout! :D

Opening up the blog with a super intense night look! :)

For this, I used a charcoal base color with black shading in my crease and white on the inner corners. I used black liquid liner to accentuate the outsides of the giant wings, and then finished off with a pale pink lip color. Surprisingly easy to do with very minimal practice! I paired it with a high, very teased ponytail and straight bangs. I would suggest the look for any nighttime event where edgy looks are embraced, like prom or a club.

Tip! Make the eyebrows dark, thin, and very arched. If not, your face may look… well… weird.

If anyone would like a video tutorial of this look, let me know!

Good luck :)
